MCOL User Guide for Claimants
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, NOT ALL TYPES OF CLAIM CAN BE ISSUED ON MCOL AND IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR UPON ISSUE OF THE CLAIM YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND OF THE COURT FEE

When you have registered with the MCOL website please make a note of the 12 digit User ID and your password. Without this, we may be unable to retrieve the details of your MCOL account so you may not be able to access your accounts in the future.

There's a new, simpler system to make a money claim of up to £10,000 online. You may be able to use this if you're an individual, company or sole trader without legal representation such as a solicitor. You can't use this service if you're acting on behalf of an individual or if you receive Help with Fees. If you're interested in taking part in HMCTS's new system, email your name and phone number to moneyclaims@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk

To begin using the Money Claim Online Service you are required to register for an account with the UK Government Gateway.
